Meet Smokey the World’s Loudest Purring Cat!
Smokey, a 12-year-old British Shorthair cat, is known around the
world for her exceptionally loud purring skills. It’s said that Smokey
can sing as loud as a lawn mower, hair dryer or hoover, and because
of that she’s a Guiness World Book record holder as the world’s loudest
purring cat!
Smokey and her caretaker, Ruth Adams, wrote “Smokey: The Very Loud Purring
Cat”. You can get your copy of the book on
Amazon.com and learn about Smokey’s life on the Northamptonshire
farm where she lives in the United Kingdom.
